1. Senior chemical engineer

    CATCO is looking for a world-class Senior Process & Integration Engineer with process development and integration experience to join the PPO Engineering team. This position requires a creative individual with a strong technical background in a relevant technical field, such as materials and processes for display fabrication, semiconductor processing, and materials characterization. In this hands-on role, laboratory experience in a clean room environment is essential. A successful candidate will execute on projects independently, from the design of experiment, sample fabrication and metrology, optical/electrical characterization and failure analysis.

    Key Qualifications

    • Strong, hands-on experience in silicon fabrication processes and integration: lithography, etching, thin films deposition
    • Demonstrated history of innovation and ability to design new prototypes
    • Preferred:
    • Strong working knowledge of organic materials, including materials selection, coating methods (ie slot die coating) and characterization methods.
    • Knowledge of display design and process integration
    • Experience working with off shore suppliers and manufacturers
    • A working understanding of high volume manufacturing processes
    • Experience in materials characterization: SEM, TEM/FIB, EDX, AFM, XRD, DSC, etc.

    Description

    Lead process development for new concepts and advanced technology for panel processing stack-up design, process flow optimization and materials development for next generation display technology, working with design, integration, testing, failure analysis, manufacturing teams, and vendors to realize new concepts of design and execute experiments to develop state-of-the art panel process of thin film/polymer deposition/coating and patterning. Optimize and improve existing device design, processes and materials for better performance, reliability, and cost reduction.

    Education

    Ph.D. (or equivalent experience) in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemistry or equivalent

    Description

    The Process Engineer provides process technical expertise and services focused on enhancing the safety, reliability and profitability of the process units. This position interfaces with all departments throughout the refinery including operations, maintenance, planning, and technical services.

    The successful candidate will be assigned to either provide process engineering support of refinery operations or develop process design packages for the capital project team.

    Responsibilities may include :

    • Monitoring / evaluating unit performance and maintaining effective monitoring reports
    • Troubleshooting operational and process quality problems
    • Generating ideas / opportunities for unit optimization
    • Generating process design improvement projects for strategic and real business improvement
    • Participating as required in major project activities
    • Providing technical content for operating procedures
    • Completing process hazard analysis and process safety management requirements, including the completion of action items
    • Ensuring full management of change compliance with all of their activities
    • Supporting catalyst management activities
    • Maintaining assigned process safety information
    • Developing and monitoring key performance metrics for assigned units
    • Providing guidance to operations consistent with environmental and operational requirements
    • Assisting in preparation of and maintaining capital and operating expense budget
    • Interfacing with Licensors for technical support
    • Support unit turnarounds including work list identification/justification, procedure writing and reviews, equipment inspection (from operations perspective), etc.
    • Day-to-day support of their respective operating unit to meet short- and long-term operating plans and the refinery business plan

    Qualifications

    Basic/Required :

    • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
    • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
    • 2 or more years of direct experience in refining and/or the chemical industry
    • Valid Driver’s License
